Emergency Staffing Solutions specializes in providing high quality care to low and mid-volume Emergency Rooms across the country. Ron Weiss, co-founder of ESS has over 20 years experience in this area. His previous venture in Emergency Medical staffing, The Gould Group, was highly successful in providing quality physicians to 65 low and mid-volume Emergency Departments in 6 states, prior to being purchased by EmCare in 1996. ESS will continue this practice of focusing on low and medium-level volume Emergency Rooms, recognizing that these departments expect the same quality patient care and professionalism as urban medical centers. ESS has three major management opponents. Our management team is headed by Dr. Leigh Dillard, M.D. Dr. Dillard monitors all aspects of emergency department staffing and management through his 25 years of experience in the industry.
This part of the company ensures that there is physician-to-physician communication on all physician-related issues and opportunities. The Medical Directors ensure that we have an ongoing understanding of local conditions by working full-time hours at our client hospitals.
The second organizational piece is our administrative team. It is headed by Ron Weiss. Mr. Weiss has the advantage of over 20 years experience in contract-based emergency department management. Mr. Weiss oversees the day-to day management of our client hospitals through constant communication with our client administrators. One of the key resources in our operations team is the individuals.
We have found each to be remarkably valuable to our clients, as they visit each hospital regularly and bring not only their personal experience, but also the knowledge each gain by interacting with our client hospitals.
Our third organizational component is our group of consultants in administrative services. We have experts in a number of useful areas, including marketing, risk management, reimbursement, quality improvement and managed care. These resources exist to ensure that ESS itself is performing in each of their specialty areas. A significant portion of their time, however, is devoted to working with client hospitals on a project basis.
ESS’s goals are hierarchical, i.e. each employee has written, measurable goals that ultimately sum up to the corporation’s goals. In the interest of brevity, we present a list of the company’s generalized goals as in:
ESS will maintain long-term, stable relationships with its client hospitals.
ESS will enter into new client relationships with community hospitals at a rate that will enable the company to use its capacity of resources and if necessary allow sufficient time to acquire additional resources in a manner that will continue to position the company for further growth.
ESS has devoted significant resources to position the company to perform adequately in the expanding market of managed care environment.
ESS will continue to develop systems and protocols for clinical care that emphasize utilization management and cost containment.
ESS will monitor developments in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Department management in order to optimize the operations at present clients and to position the company to provide unique services to potential new clients.
We operate the company under the belief that high quality clinical practice and attention to customer service are interdependent factors in the process of ensuring excellence in emergency care. We have worked to optimize our performance in these key areas by providing physicians with the appropriate combination of location, practice milieu and compensation. The resultant stability of physicians makes large contribution toward fulfilling our philosophy.
ESS provides a broad range of administrative service to its clients. The implement of these services is, in some cases, a matter of course in fulfilling our obligations; others are the request of the hospital and are tailored to fit the particular circumstances. The need for specific services, for example marketing, may be particularly appropriate and can be implemented immediately or at any time in the relationship. ESS is always prepared to respond to the needs of the hospital.
